March 14, 1953 - A Crazy Time

Good morning,
To say life has been busy lately is a bit of an understatement. My husband and I had a death in the family recently. This is the second in less than a year as well as the family dog passing away. So much to take for newlyweds.
On a happier note, our house's interior is finished. We still have quite a bit of work to do on the exterior but we are getting there. I have to apologize to all of you for my long absence. With everything going on I must admit that all forms of entertainment were set aside in favor of decorating my new home. We also have not yet got back the internet and I am still typing away on my nook, which does not have the most functional of keyboards, hence aall of the typos.
It's a new year and there is so much to look forward to. For example, we went shopping at a local antique store and I got a few things that I have been looking for quite a while, such as a useable reasonably priced glass milk bottle. I was not about to spend $20 just to have a milk bottle that I couldn't use due to someone keeping it dirty in their garage for 50-60 years. However I found one for $4.50 that was in very wonderful condition. I also found a few pieces of jewelery as well as some books from the early fifties. I shall have the internet in a little over a month so I can begin regular posts again. I have missed writing and the community of likeminded people that I have met over the last year or so.
Thank you all for your patience.
Andrea
